2016
VW Jetta MOMO Edition
Italian
motorsport brand and aftermarket specialist MOMO has announced 2016 VW Jetta
MOMO Edition for the 2015 SEMA Show that will be held from November 3-6 in Las
Vegas. The company says that it retains the benefit of the turbocharged sedan
with a greater focus on the sports-oriented driver with this special edition.
The
exterior is defined by a bright red paint scheme with yellow pinstripe and
brake calipers. The outstanding feature on the outside however, is the 19-inch
Momo Revenge wheels. These wheels bear a split 10-spoke design with a concave
center and are available in matte anthracite and matte black finishes. These
rims are shod with 235/35 ZR19 Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires that
afford the Momo Edition with precise cornering characteristics due to their low
profile.
Handling
is helped by the H&R suspension upgrades that have H&R Street
Performance coilovers at each corner, and front and rear sway bars. The
coilovers also allow the ride height to be adjusted to switch between
performance and comfort driving. Brembo provides the front brake kit which has
14.4-inch cross-drilled two-piece front rotors and four piston monobloc
calipers; the rear gets 12.2-inch rotors borrowed from the VW Golf R.
The
black interior features yellow accents with red contrast stitching. The
steering wheel is a limited edition Momo GT50 Anniversario with yellow
detailing. This detailing is continued on the dashboard as well as the door
panels and the Momo lettering on the seat headrests. Red contrasting stitching
has been applied on all four seats, gear shift boot and parking brake boot. In
the driver’s side air vent, a vehicle information display is given that
displays turbo boost and exhaust gas temperature, coolant temperature, throttle
position, outside temperature and 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration time among
others.
Under
the hood, is the same 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine
that produces 210 hp and 207 lb-ft (281 Nm) of torque in stock form, but has
benefited from improved breathing and the addition of Milltek Sport
stainless steel cat-back exhaust from.
