GS F
The
Lexus GS F is now on sale in Japan with priced at ¥ 11,000,000. The GS F
is the first F series sedan model in the Lexus lineup since the IS F that was
launched in 2007, with the sales ceasing in Japan in May 2014.
The
front side of the GS F gets the large spindle grille, triple-beam headlamps with
L-shaped LED DRLs and large air intakes. The sides feature flared wheel arches,
L-shaped side air outlets, 19-inch polished aluminium wheels, gloss-black side
mirrors and ‘F’ badging on the front fenders. The rear side receives a carbon-fibre
spoiler and quad exhausts.
The
interior features high-back sport seats at the front that are made with an
integrated foaming technique providing occupants with comfort as well as
support required during high-performance driving on the track. The steering
wheel is wrapped in leather for comfort and grip. The upper portion of the
instrument panel, centre console and door trim armrests are finished in
Alcantara, adding a touch of luxury to the cabin. A colour heads-up display
(HUD) is offered optionally and allows the driver to view necessary information
without excessive eye movement. It can display speed, basic mapping and even
engine rpms and shift position when in Sports mode.
The
Lexus GS F comes equipped with Safety System + as standard. This package brings
along several active safety systems with it such as Pre-collision System (PCS)
with pedestrian detection function, Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Adaptive
Hi-beam System (AHS) and Radar Cruise Control (with brake control).
The
Lexus GS F sports a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 467 hp
and 527 Nm of torque. The engine sends drive exclusively to the
rear wheels, through an 8-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission with
paddle shifters and manual mode. The high-performance variant is capable of
hitting 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 270
km/h.
