New
Ford Transit Winnebago Fuse
The new generation Ford
Transit is a very versatile and capable automobile, that’s why recreational
vehicle manufacturers are offering all-new motorhome models based on “America’s
best selling commercial van”.
We all know that
nothing compares to taking the comfort of your own home almost everywhere you
go, and the latest Transit RV to offer such a convenient option is the
Winnebago Fuse – a Class C motorhome built on the new cutaway chassis.
In case you don’t know what
a Class C motorhome is, then allow us to explain: Class C motorhomes (also
known as Alcove) include vehicle frame, suspension, powertrain and cab, with
living area accessible behind the driver’s compartment. In other words, it’s
the vanilla approach, as the vehicle has a caravan-style body mounted onto a
van or truck chassis.
The Winnebago Fuse goes
on sale in January and it will be offered in two configurations - one with a
rear bedroom slide-out featuring a queen-size bed, and another with a front slide-out,
two twin beds and a rear bath – each mated to a Ford Power-Stroke 3.2-litre
five-cylinder diesel engine.
