2016 Kia Sportage Euro-Spec
In the Old Continent, more than 105,000
units were delivered in 2015, making the Sportage the brand's leader in terms
of sales.
With its fourth-generation, which last
year accounted for 27.4% of total sales, will be available in European markets
during the first quarter of the year, Kia intends to further increase its
mid-size SUV's commercial success.
The 2016 Sportage is currently available
with two petrol-powered 1.6-liter units, good for 132 and 177 PS respectively,
and three turbodiesels with 115 PS (1.7-liter), and 136 PS or 185 PS (both
2.0-liter units). The new engines and transmissions offer enhanced efficiency
and performance, while both the car's ride and its handling have been improved.
Modern-day active safety systems, such
as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist,
High Beam Assist, Speed Limit Information, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross
Traffic Alerg, will be available, along with a significantly stronger safety
structure, thanks in large part to the advanced high-strength steel.
