Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Special
Edition
Ford might have made headlines with the
new F-150 Raptor SuperCrew at Detroit, but Chevy's Silverado is already
available in four-door guise and now gets a special edition.
The Silverado Realtree Edition is based
on the 1500 LTZ Z71 crew cab and borrows elements from the Raintree concept.
The key point of difference compared to the standard version are the Realtree
camouflage graphics offsetting the grey paint scheme.
Beyond the special exterior finish, the
Silverado SuperCrew includes a set of 20-inch alloy wheels finished in black
and wrapped in all-terrain tires. Other special components included are side
steps and black bow tie emblems.
There is no interior pictures have been
released, but Chevrolet asserts that the Realtree logo has been embroidered on
the front headrests and is complemented with a number of other Realtree badges
and camouflage elements.
Customers of the Silverado Realtree
Edition will have the opportunity to opt for either a 5.3-liter or 6.2-liter V8
engine, with power ranging between 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque for the
smaller of the two V8s and topping out at 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. The standard
Z71 off-road package includes an automatic locking rear differential, underbody
protection, two tow hooks, a Hill Decent Control system and Rancho monotube
shocks.
