Bajaj V
Bajaj Auto unveiled the Bajaj V commuter
bike, which uses metal from INS Vikrant, the first aircraft carrier of the
Indian Navy that was decommissioned, dismantled and auctioned off in 2014. The
motorcycle is positioned between the Bajaj Discover 150 and the Pulsar 150.
The company has not revealed the price
of the Bajaj V, but said that it will be priced between INR 60,000 and INR
70,000. The exact price of the model will be announced when the delivery
commences in March.
The Bajaj V features a 60 W halogen
headlamp, LED taillamp, analog-digital instrument cluster with colour changing
LED indications (including fuel gauge), wide handlebar, INS Vikrant emblem
etched on fuel tank, premium textured seat, stubby exhaust canister, 10-spoke
cast aluminium alloy wheels, wide profile tyres, disc brake upfront, drum brake
at the rear, 33 mm diameter telescopic fork with a dust cover, twin shock
absorber on swingarm, and a plastic cowl on the pillion seat which can be
removed using an allen key that is integrated into the bike’s key.
