Chrysler
300 Super S Concept
What’s
really interesting about Chrysler’s SEMA Show 300 Super S is hidden under its
hood.
The
concept’s 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine has been upgraded up with Mopar Stage 1,
Stage 2 and Stage 3 Upgrade Kits, which in Chrysler’s own words, “exactly mimic
the modifications and performance boosts delivered by Mopar Scat Pack
Performance kits” offered on the 5.7-liter Dodge Challenger and Charger models.
What
this means is, a boost of 75 hp and 44 lb.-ft. of torque over the stock 363 hp
and 394 lb-ft of torque HEMI V8 for a (coincidental) total of 438 hp and 438
lb-ft –which would make for a nice name if Chrysler decides to offer this
package on the 300.
Other
Mopar production parts used on the 300 Super S are the front and rear
performance strut tower braces, and a Big Brake Kit. Non-production pieces
include the fitment of custom upper and lower grilles with more than 300
miniature Mopar “M” dots, 22-inch rims, a rear valence and a deck-lid spoiler.
