Tata Motors today unveiled the production version of the upcoming Tata Nexon compact SUV at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016.

The Nexon features a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Details are available only regarding the diesel variant which makes 110 PS and produces 260 Nm of peak torque.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox with three drive modes. Shod with 16 inch alloy wheels and dual path suspension, the compact SUV has a ground clearance of 200 mm and features an electric power assisted steering setup.

The Tata Nexon follows the company’s next-generation ‘Impact Design’ philosophy, the Nexon’s fascia gets “Chrome Humanity Line” on the upper grille, projector headlamps with DRLs, LED taillights with chrome accents, a rising beltline and a floating roof. Everything from the upper grille to the beltline finisher is customisable, Tata Motors says.
