is that this bike has two wheels drive, a solution that has never come to
permeate the world of motorcycling.
Motorcycles with all-wheel drive have
been a few in the world of motorcycling, almost from the beginning of
motorcycling, through the primitive "Sprockets" a SWM 320 trial
developed by the entrepreneur Jesus Soria in 1983, to more advanced models with
systems developed in collaboration with manufacturers like Marzocchi or Öhlins
suspensions, but what is absolutely new is the proposal Armotia: an electric
motorcycle with two wheels drive.
The Armotia Due comes in two versions, R
and X. The first is a road trail oriented while the second is a bike completely
"off-road". They share the same base and measures, although the X has
20 mm more height to the ground to enhance their camper use, with a declared
weight of 125 kilos. It has two independent motors, one for each wheel. The
striker is in the front hub, while the rear has a power of about 15 hp with a
180 Nm torque in the case of R and 200 Nm in X.
The frame is steel, and retains the same
suspension travel in both versions. The fork is a 41 mm USD and a fully
adjustable rear shock absorber Bitubo. The measure of the rims are 21
"front and 18" behind in both versions, while the front brake is a
260 mm floating disc with two-piston Brembo calipers and a rear 220 mm single
piston.
The battery is lithium ion, 72 V, with a
capacity of 5.1 kWh, and a charging time of between two and six hours.
According Armotia autonomy allows continued use of up to 1 hour and 20 minutes.
All management of the bike is developed through a phone, a RUG-Gear RG600 with
own specifications, and downloading the app Armotia.
