Harley-Davidson New Low Rider S
Harley-Davidson have just revealed two
new models for 2016, this Dyna based Low Rider S, and a CVO Pro Street Breakout, both expected to arrive on our shores in Spring this year.
The Low Rider S is powered by the Screamin’
Eagle Twin Cam 110 engine, joining the Fat Boy S and Softail Slim S models as
the third member of S-series lineup, which is aimed at offering riders more
performance from their Harley-Davidson straight out of the crate. Upgraded
suspension and brakes complete the performance package.
Equipped with a Screamin’ Eagle Heavy
Breather performance intake and Fat Bob-style 2-into-2 exhaust, the 110 engine
kicks out 115 ft-lb torque at 3500 rpm – a 13% hike over stock. A heavy-duty
clutch looks after the power transfer, and it even comes with cruise control as
standard equipment. The powertrain and exhaust are finished in a combination of
gloss black and wrinkle black powdercoat.
The solo seat and chopped rear fender
keep the rear end uncluttered,a nd the whole package is only available in Vivid
Black. The only contrast to the black theme is the pair of new Magnum Gold
lightweight cast-aluminum wheels and a gold tank badge which pays homage to the
1977 XLCR Café Racer model. The Low Rider S model will cost £14,995.
