Honda CB Shine SP 125
Honda CB Shine SP 125 is all set to be
the replacement for the aging yet extremely popular motorcycle from the Honda
stable, “Shine 125”. Honda has been purely banking on Shine motorcycle when it
comes to sales of motorcycles in the country as it enjoy’s the 46% of market
share in India today in 125 cc segment.
Apart from India, Honda CB Shine is the
largest selling 125 cc motorcycle in the world too. Honda two-wheelers today launched the CB Shine SP with a starting
price tag of Rs.59,900.
Honda CB Shine SP 125 is powered by the
same 124.7 cc Air cooled 4 Stroke SI engine that generates 10.57 PS of power and
10.3 NM of torque but it is mated to a 5 Speed gearbox. HET technology is also
available to make more efficient use of fuel and provides utmost refinement and
reliability.
Dimension wise there are changes to the
chassis that we told once the first set of spy shots came in. The length is
2,007 mm, ground clearance is up from 157 to 160 mm. Wheelbase remains identical
at 1,266 mm. Weight reduced by 1 kilogram for the CBS version. Chassis wise the
single down tube frame continues to be part of the package. Wheel size are also
same as the normal CB Shine at 18-inch.
Honda is offering 240 mm disc brakes at
the front and drum brakes at the rear. CBS combi braking system has been
introduced on the CB Shine SP, Ceat tyres make it to this model for more grip
and long life.
