Edition
Chevrolet is expanding its Midnight
Special Edition series, welcoming the 2016 Silverado 1500 Z71 and the 2016
Colorado Z71 to the mix.
The duet is joining a portfolio of
special-edition trucks that's on the rise, as overall sales have gone up 27%
last year, double the increase for the total segment in the US.
Other special editions available for
2016 include the Silverado Realtree, Silverado Special Ops and Colorado Trail
Boss, and more are said to follow later this year.
Judging by the way customers got the
chance to order the Silverado 2500 HD Z71 in September 2015, we guess the
Midnight Edition truck can be either mid-size, light-duty or heavy duty.
If you put them in a crowd, they'll
stand up due to the off-road suspension, locking rear differential, transfer
case shield, hill descent control, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain
tires, all-black front ends with body-colored grilles, bumpers, headlamp
bezels, tow hooks and fog lamps, black side moldings and beltline moldings,
black alloys, Z71 badges, Spray-in black bedliner and black Chevy bowties up
front and at the rear.
