Mahindra Thar Custom
In order to build on the already popular
Mahindra Thar, the Indian manufacturer has built a special edition of the
Mahindra Thar and displayed it at the Auto Expo 2016.
The version of the Thar built for the
Auto Expo gets massive changes on the outside that allow it to explore the
offroading capabilities of its regular cousin further. On offer is a
factory-fitted winch at the front which is now attached to a set of Stinger
Bumpers, offering more protection to the car’s radiators. A ring of DRL has
been added to the headlamps, and the taillights now get the LED treatment. Up
front is a huge air-scoop on the bonnet.
The most noticeable change is where the
car touches the ground, with Mahindra providing the Thar with special MT tyres.
The imposing tyres increase the Thar’s ground clearance significantly. The
company has also provided this version of the Thar with dual exhausts.
The company has not announced any launch
details for the Mahindra Thar accessory edition.
