Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the
all-new GLE 450 AMG Coupe in India at a price of Rs. 86.40 lakhs. The car is a direct rival to the BMW X6 which had a free run in the
segment it had created a few years ago.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe is
the first new vehicle for the year 2016 among 12 new products to be launched in
India this year. It is also the first of its kind product from the German
luxury car maker without any predecessor. The GLE 450 AMG Coupe is powered by a
3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that churns out 362 BHP of max power and 520 Nm of
torque. It is mated to a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic gearbox driving all four
wheels via the 4MATIC 4-wheel drive system. The 2.2-tonne SUV can do a
0-100 Km/h run in just 5.7 seconds and comes in a total of 5 transmission modes
– Individual, Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sport Plus. The SUV runs on black
painted 21-inch AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels which so look the part.
Insides, almost all surfaces are
covered by high quality leather with an infotainment system that is equipped
with a high-resolution media display with a 8-inch screen loaded with the
latest version of COMAND. On the safety front, the car gets features like
Active Parking Assist, Adaptive airbags, Pre-Safe system, Crosswind Assist,
Attention Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and Adaptive brake lights.
