Opel Adam by Irmscher
Irmscher is paying tribute to their
racing past and particularly, the Opel Ascona A with which German racing legend
Walter Röhrl stormed the rally tracks in the 1970s, with the development of a
special Opel Adam.
Teased here in a rather crude - for an
official manufacturer - render, the Irmscher Opel Adam is billed as a concept
at this stage, but it will spawn a production version in the near future.
It’s based on the Opel Adam S, which is
the most potent model in the city car’s range sporting a 150 PS 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four, with the German tuner bumping power to
170 PS.
Painted in Irmscher’s traditional rally
colors, it will also gain a wide body kit with extended front and rear fenders
that make room for 19-inch alloy wheels, along with new front and rear bumpers,
and a sports tuned chassis.
