911 Stinger GTR Carbon Edition
Since it was already established that
the Stinger GTR is one seriously mean looking Porsche 911, why not add a whole
lot of carbon to the equation?.
What we have here is the TopCar Stinger
GTR Carbon Edition, which features a tuning kit made up of 24 high quality
carbon fiber parts. This genuinely improves the look of the car, though you'll
need to spend about € 15,000 more than you would on the regular Stinger GTR.
The first Carbon Edition model is
currently for sale, valued at € 290,000. Rest assured, you're not paying that much for the carbon bits alone. You also
get a completely redesigned interior with plenty of 24K gold elements, Nappa
leather and custom ADV.1 forged wheels.
Even though we love the exterior and one
can't argue against the interior either, all that gold will probably not appeal
to everybody.
It's a bit too pretentious, instead of
overly sporty and just a bit elegant - which is what Porsche is all about.
Another thing we've noticed with this Carbon Edition model is that they
replaced the Porsche badge on the steering wheel with a TopCar badge. They
didn't do that to the previous Stinger GTR we saw a few weeks ago, which is why
this kind of comes as a surprise.
Would people generally agree to stare at
a custom badge while driving their € 290,000 911 Turbo S? Keep in mind that this
is a badge that doesn't inspire you as much as the Porsche logo would.
