Toyota Noah and Voxy by Gazoo Racing
The Toyota Noah and Voxy have been
released from the Gazoo Racing, and the Japanese market now has the Voxy ZS
G’s and the Noah Si G’s to choose from.
The Noah and Voxy are
twins with different faces, much like the bigger Alphard and Vellfire, the
Voxy is the sportier sister. There’s also a deluxe variant called Toyota
Esquire with a fearsome face. Competitors in this mid-sized Japanese MPV
segment include the Nissan Serena and Mazda Biante.
Both Noah and Voxy get improved dynamics
by Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s racing arm, in addition to sporty changes to the
exterior and seven-seat cabin. The sports suspension brings a ride height
decline of 15 mm, and there’s a whole family of underbody bracing and
aerodynamic parts to boost rigidity for better handling. The steering has been
retuned and there’s a G’s muffler as well.
The 3ZR-FAE 2.0 litre-powered CVT MPVs
now ride on unique 18-inch G’s ten-spoke wheels made by Enkei, paired with
sticky 215/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A rubber. Both get the same larger and
aggressive front bumper, but the grille is a unique item to match the
respective faces – the original Voxy has different headlamps and a strip that
bisects it, Vellfire-style. Matching side skirts and rear bumper as well, of
course.
Inside, the all-black interior which is
the same for both, one will find sporty seats in a combination of suede and
synthetic leather, with G’s emblem and silver stitching. The steering and gearknob
are trimmed to match. The Optitron meter panel gets red illumination and a G’s
logo, ditto the red push start button. Aluminium pedals complete the package.
