Yamaha 04GEN Concept
The fourth and the latest concept model
based on Yamaha’s ‘Refined Dynamism’ design philosophy is up for show at the
2016 Vietnam Motorcycle Show. Dubbed as the Yamaha 04GEN, the interesting
scooter design concept is showcased at country’s first ever motorcycle show
that is held from April 7 to 11 in the city of Ho Chi Minh.
In 2013, Yamaha Motor established
Refined Dynamism as its design philosophy and has positioned design as a
central pillar of product creation from its inception. The two-wheeler maker is
said to be going full throttle for developing unique products, and the 04Gen we
are talking about here surely is unique. The design of the 04GEN concept is
based on the RUN-WAY concept, as the company says, it evokes the image of women
with an air of dignified elegance and grace in mind and body.
The 04GEN seems to have a delicate frame
and is covered with semi-transparent bodywork. The see-through bodywork is
artistically crafted, especially on the rear section which is designed as a
pair of dragon-fly wings. The maker states that the transparent bodywork
showcases the engineered interior structure and brings buoyancy to the stylish
body. Till date, Yamaha Motor has announced three design concepts based on the
same philosophy. The 01GEN concept introduces in 2014 is a crossover motorcycle
with two wheels at the front. The 02GEN is an electrically power-assisted
wheelchair was brought in 2014 as well.
The third in the list is the 03GEN,
a three wheel prototype.
