Yamaha CS_07 Gasoline
Portuguese custom building duo,
Alexandre Santos and Osvaldo Coutinho of the eccentrically titled ‘it
roCks!bikes’ have built their third custom machine to be included Yamaha’s
ever-growing Yard Built series, creating a new image for the VMAX in the shape
of this, the CS_07 Gasoline.
The bike uses the duo’s trademark
monocoque tank, seat and tail unit which features on all of the outfits’
builds, and creates a dummy fuel tank in the conventional place, while the real
one is actually located under the rider’s seat. The list of bling parts used
includes Brembo brake and clutch master cylinders, a SC Project exhaust system,
through to a host of LSL, Rizoma, and Motogadget accessories that help finish
the machine and reflect its quality.
The Gasoline has been influenced by drag
racing bikes, from the overall stance and presence given to the bike by the
hand crafted metal fairing, to the slick Rear Mickey Thomson tyre that will
help it to put power down on its custom made spoke wheels.
It was built to celebrate the 30th
anniversary of the VMAX and features a classic black, white and yellow paint
scheme that references the iconic Kenny Robert’s speedblock design that’s now
being used extensively on Yamaha bikes to celebrate the firm’s 60th
anniversary.
The firm’s previous offerings coming
were the CS_05 Zen, based around an SR400, and the CS_06 Dissident that saw an
XJR1300 transformed into an elegant Café Racer. You can see more of Yamaha’s
