Lada Kalina NFR
Lada may be competing against Polestar
and Honda in the WTCC series with a racing version of the Vesta, but its road
cars aren't exactly known for their performance.
Despite being billed as the firm's
fastest production car, don't expect to be baffled by its performance figures
because the Kalina NFR uses a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine,
rated at 136 PS at 6,800 rpm and 154 Nm of torque
available at 4,750 rpm.
The unit is paired to a 5-speed manual
gearbox, which allows for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 9.2 seconds and a top speed of 203 km/h. Tipping the scales at 1,215 kg, the NFR returns an average
fuel consumption of 8.4l/100km combined.
On top of the standard model, the Kalina
NFR has been equipped with a sports tuned suspension, updated steering and
better brakes with ABS and EBD, while the comfort list includes automatic
headlights and windscreen wipers, heated side mirrors, heated sports cloth
seats, manual air conditioning and a 4-speaker audio system, working together
with a 7-inch display.
Lada will produce just 50 copies of the
Kalina NFR, in the first year, priced at US$ 12,100.
