Mahindra TUV300 mHawk100
The more powerful
Mahindra TUV300 mHawk100 will launch on May 12, 2016. The variant addition
comes on the back of customer feedback that the TUV300’s 84 bhp engine makes it
a touch underpowered.
The TUV300 mHawk100, as the name
suggests, will output 100 bhp. Though the engine will continue to be the
1.5-liter three-cylinder unit with 2-stage turbocharger, power and torque
outputs are expected at 100 bhp and 240 Nm, similar to the recently-launched
Mahindra NuvoSport.
Aside from the
‘mHawk100’ badge on the fenders, there won’t be any other distinguishable
element on the more powerful TUV300. It will continue offering features of the
top-end T8 variant which include alloy wheels, Bluetooth-enabled music system
with steering-mounted controls, static-bending headlights, micro-hybrid system,
rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD and dual front airbags.
The TUV300
mHawk100 will continue offering MT and AMT options. Naturally, they will be the
new range-topping variants of the sub-4 meter SUV. The TUV300 mHawk80 T8 and T8
AMT retail for INR 8.78 lakhs and INR 9.53 lakhs respectively, ex-Showroom,
Mumbai.
