Manhart Mini F300
Some members in the CAR editorial have
mentioned that the new Mini has somewhat softened down over the years despite
still maintaining its fun and boutique demeanor. Know German BMW tuning
specialists Manhart has decided to give the latest edition of the JCW a full
224 kW work-over to provide it with more of an extreme personality. This is the
Manhart Mini F300.
The F300 has a strong visual presence
thanks to the usage of a British Racing Green paintwork with gold vinyl and
accenting combined with a bold set of 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. None of
the body panels seem to have been changed but the F300 does make use of
substantial lowering in the form of a carbon fiber tower strut brace and an
adjustable KW coil-over suspension.
Inside the cabin things are a lot more
conservative. The layout remains the same but the usage of upmarket leather
with Alcantara and gold stitching has been used. Manhart branded floor mats
have also been added for good measure.
The F300 gets its surge of power form
the 2,0-litre turbocharged engine making use of a new intercooler, a revised
ECU and a Remus stainless steel sports exhaust system. With this the F300 is
good for 224 kW and 469 N.m but what this will achieve is sadly unknown at this
stage as Manhart has declined to release any performance information.
