New Audi A4 Allroad Quattro
Having made its debut in Detroit two
months ago, the Audi A4 Allroad Quattro is now available for order in Germany.
Prospective buyers of the more rugged
version of the Avant will have to pay € 44,750 (US$ 49,900) in its
home market for the base entry-level version.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter TDI, rated
at 163 PS and mated to a 7-speed S tronic transmission. Quattro
all-wheel drive is offered as standard across the range and so are the 17-inch
wheels, higher roof rails, power tailgate and xenon headlights. Joining the
four-pot diesel is a 3.0-liter TDI, available in two outputs, with 217 PS and 272 PS along with a petrol 2.0-liter TSI.
Compared to the A4 Avant, the vehicle
benefits from a 34 mm increased ground clearance, rugged underbody
protection, a tweaked front end with a different grille trim and reshaped
bumper, silver-colored rear diffuser and flared wheel arches.
Audi will bring the new A4 Allroad
Quattro to the United States this summer, where the car will be available
exclusively with the 2.0-liter gasoline burner, producing 249 HP and 370 Nm of torque.
