New Renault Kaptur
As part of Renault's plan to introduce
10 new models this year and to continue its expansion outside Europe, the
popular Captur has grown in size and been renamed to Kaptur exclusively for the
Russian market.
The Kaptur is 211 mm longer, 35 mm wider
and 47 mm taller than the European Captur, while Renault further differentiated
it from the European model with new C-shaped LED signature lights on both ends,
plus a reworked grille and lower part of the front bumper.
Open the door and besides seating for
five, the Russian model comes fitted with keyless entry, keyless go and locking
for all versions, heated front seats, heated windscreen, Radio and Bluetooth,
but instead of the R-Link infotainment, it will use the Media Nav, with a
7-inch touchscreen.
While the European Captur is only
offered in front-wheel drive, the Russian version has gained an all-wheel drive
system, which, along with the locking center differential, heavy duty
suspension and 204 mm ground clearance will help the Kaptur cope with the
harsher conditions encountered in the country.
The Renault Kaptur is manufactured at
the firm's plant in Moscow and it will go on sale this summer.
