Porsche 911 Turbo S by Litchfield
Supercar tuning company Litchfield has
unveiled their new program for the 991-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S, which
not only adds power, but also strips the car of some unneeded weight and
delivers more responsive handling, the company says.
Litchfield’s new titanium exhaust system
for the 911 Turbo S is the centrepiece of the tuning program. The unit was
designed and hand-finished in house by Litchfield technicians and is 16 kg
lighter than the stock exhaust system. It also adds an extra 45 horsepower and
36 lb-ft of torque.
Further enhancing the performance is a
Cobb Accessport software system that allows Litchfield engineers to perfectly
tune the 911’s twin-turbocharged flat-six engine. Other performance upgrades
include Litchfield’s own spring upgrade kit and lightweight HRE Centre Lock
wheels shod in super-sticky Michelin Cup 2 tires.
Litchfield says its tuning package makes
the 991 Porsche 911 Turbo S “faster, smoother, crisper, louder, more visceral
in every regard,” while not taking away from the Porsche character that so many
fans of the brand seek. The company is currently working on a revised
intercooler system for the rear-engined supercar, so if its more power your
looking for, be sure to keep an eye on Litchfield in coming months.
