Toyota GT 86 Convertible
The Scion brand is officially dead yet
everything seems to go smooth for Toyota, which rolled off an updated version
of its compact coupe that just got rebranded.
It features some new design elements
both outside and in the cabin, completed by an extra 5 HP squeezed from
Subaru’s 2.0-liter boxer four-pot mill, shared with the BRZ.
While the manufacturer currently focuses
on the GT 86, X-Tomi reminds us that this is the same brand that gave us the
FT-86 Open Concept a few years ago.
Based on the study and featuring the new
updates applied to the rear-wheel drive car for 2017 MY, this rendering shows
what could have been had Toyota given the go ahead for an open-top variant.
