2017 Porsche Panamera

As expected, the all-new Porsche Panamera sports an evolutionary design, maintaining the previous generation’s shape.

The images, leaked by @car01 via Motor1, show-off a new front end and a sleeker profile that contribute to the vehicle’s new sporty image (despite its slightly longer wheelbase), while the rear seems to have been heavily inspired by the one found on the new 718 Boxster/Cayman duo, with the taillights "connected" by an LED strip right on top of the Porsche lettering.

Based on the new MSB platform, Porsche’s new four-door model is expected to be around 90 kg lighter than the outgoing generation thanks to the clever use of high strength steel, aluminum, and composite materials. Combine these weight-saving attributes with the new 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 pictured in one of the leaked photos, and it might explain why Porsche described it as the fastest luxury sedan on earth.

Although performance figures are still unknown, the car is believed to offer a fresh family of V6 and V8 turbocharged engines, with a plug-in hybrid version arriving later during the vehicle's lifespan.

While reports indicate that a 12-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system will take center stage inside the vehicle’s cabin, we’re only able to spot (for now) its digital dashboard – complemented by an analogue tachometer – and its rear sets, separated by a thick console with an LCD panel and multimedia controls.

More information about the car is expected to surface in the following days, prior to its debut.
