Lamborghini LP750-4 Superveloce by
Vitesse AuDessus
More than US$ 40,000 for a light cosmetic
upgrade? What may sound outrageously expensive to many, especially those
unfamiliar with the tuning biz, is probably mere pocket change to Lamborghini
owners.
Maryland tuner Vitesse AuDessus, which
describes itself as “purveyors of bespoke carbon fiber products for the world's
most exciting and exclusive automobiles”, has prepped a couple of packages with
the lightweight yet strong material for Lamborghini’s LP750-4 Superveloce Coupe
and Roadster models.
There are two core body kits and a
single set of wheels, all made from carbon fiber. The base US$ 15,525 Essentials
Package includes the lower front bumper, side skirts, mirrors and rear
diffuser, while the US$ 22,275 Extended Package adds the hood. Vitesse AuDessus
also offers a special order Bare Carbon Package with bare carbon replacements
in the weave, tint and finish specified by the customer.
As for the lightweight center-lock
carbon fiber wheels, which come with a proprietary coating to protect against
the high heat generated by the carbon ceramic rotors, when brought separately,
they will cost you US$ 25,000, but if you combine them with one of the
aforementioned styling packs, Vitesse AuDessus will apparently give you a US$ 5,000 discount.
The high-end tuner says all parts will
be limited to 300 examples, with a lead time of 3 to 4 weeks for the body
components and 4 to 6 weeks for the wheels, depending on specs.
