Renault Kwid Sport
A one-off accessorized Renault Kwid
Sports has been spotted at a dealership. The kitted up budget hatchback appears
to be sporting a wide array of official accessories which are fitted at the
dealership level.
The car is packed with exterior visual
enhancements such as striking body decals, silver diffuser, alloy wheels,
blacked out pillars and roof, pseudo fender vents, body colored grille slats
with chrome finished elements, and silver chin plate.
Inside, the accessorized Kwid Sports
features body colored inserts on the door pads, silver accents on the console
surrounding the gear lever, dual-tone artico leather seats and so on.
There are no mechanical changes or
functional accessories. The entire cosmetic work is priced at INR 48,000.
Renault has a variety of accessories and accessory packages on offer for the
Kwid. The car can adapt different themes to appeal to people with varied
tastes.
The Kwid is currently available only
with an 800 cc three-cylinder petrol engine which is good for 54 PS and 70 Nm
of torque. A new 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine with higher outputs and an AMT
transmission is in the pipeline.
The Renault Kwid has started reaching
exporting markets from this month. Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh are
the initial international markets. Markets like South Africa, Iran and Brazil
(CKD kits) will be added to the list in the coming months.
