Yamaha 03Gen
The Japanese company Yamaha, who only arrived late on the 3-wheelers segment, asked its creative to imagine the future of urban mobility. They currently
exhibiting at the 36th International Motor Show in Bangkok with two concepts derived
from the Tricity platform.
Behind their futuristic,
concepts and 03GEN 03GEN-f-x are actually much more down-to-earth than it
seems. Because there are no electric motors in the wheels or infrared heating as
the WFP and Piaggio 600K PR. No, the goal is to focus on aesthetics while
retaining the basic characteristics of a 125 cc scooter, which includes the
internal combustion engine and its exhaust system.
Despite these constraints,
designers of the Japanese group have done a remarkable job. Whether inspired by
the racing world with 03GEN-f or motocross with 03GEN-x, their concepts are
full of new ideas. The integration of equipment such as lights, dashboard or
mudguards was enough to leave dreamer. Add some mirrors and almost imagine the
road.
After two generations of
concepts turned to the bike (01GEN) and the disabled (02GEN), this 3rd creative
wave resonates as a consecration to the Tricity family. And especially for his
train before "Leaning Multi Wheel" that Yamaha could operate on other
models. It examines in particular the track "CMF", which is to create
a range by varying colors, materials and finish.
