2017 KTM Duke 390
The Rushlane's render specialist has come
up with a pretty interesting rendering of the eagerly anticipated 2017 KTM Duke
street fighter. The image is based on the recent spyshot of the uncamouflaged
prototype.
KTM designers have taken what is already
an aggressive design and made it look sharper. At the core of the new styling
is the brand new LED headlamps.
The fuel tank now gets sharper
extensions that run all the way to the headlamps, like tusks. The fuel tank has
also been completely redesigned. Needless to say, the tailpiece with split
seats is also new.
The 2017 KTM Duke also receives a new
larger digital dashboard, new LED taillight, and fresh color theme. The second
generation Duke is based on an improved platform which is expected to be more
flexibile than before as far as spawning a new derivative is concerned. We
could expect an adventure tourer derivative on the new platform sometime in the
future.
The new Duke platform will continue to
have engines of varying displacements – 125, 200, 250, and 390 cc. The motors
are expected to have pumped up outputs and increased refinement. The
range-topping 390 series would continue to offer slipper clutch and ABS as
standard fitments. The fully-faired RC variants based on the same platform are
expected to be unveiled shortly after the new Duke.
The 2017 KTM Duke is likely to be
debuted at the EICMA 2016 in Milan in November. Tell us how do like the
rendering through the comment section below.
