2017 Polaris Slingshot
The curious Polaris Slingshot has been
updated for the 2017 model year to include a hardtop option and a range of new
accessories. Sitting atop the existing base and Slingshot SL models is now the
SLR that comes as standard with a set of forged aluminum wheels, composite
brake discs and larger air intakes.
Inside, there is an abundance of
components from Sparco including aluminum pedal covers, a new steering wheel
and a special shift knob. A new LED lighting kit wraps up the interior
modifications. Power for all 2017 models continues to come from a 2.4-liter
four-cylinder engine delivering 173 hp to the ground through the single driven
rear wheel and a five-speed manual transmission.
To help spice up the buying experience
and offer owners the chance to make their cars distinct, 31 different
accessories are now available for the car. The headliner of the new catalog is
the so-called 'Slingshade'. As the name hints, it is a removable hardtop to
make the Slingshot that little bit more practical.
