Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary limited
edition (UK)
Jeep has just given the popular and
successful Wrangler a boost with an updated engine and a limited edition
version for the UK market.
The Wrangler's current 2.8-liter diesel
unit has been tweaked to to comply with Euro 6 emission standards, as further
modifications include front side airbags, deep-tint sunscreen glass, 18"
polished satin alloys and a 3.73 rear axle ration on the Sahara model, same for
the Overland (except the glass and the alloys), while the Rubicon now packs all
of the above plus Mopar slush mats and black heated leather seats.
Price-wise, the new Wrangler starts at
£ 31,840 for the two-door Sahara 2.8 CRD model, while the four-door Rubicon
3.6-liter V6 auto costs £ 34,910.
As for the Wrangler 75th Anniversary
limited edition, it was first revealed back in March at the 2016 Geneva Motor
Show. Based on the Overland version, it comes with several key improvements,
including unique exterior styling and a part-leather interior.
Outside, it features a bronze-finished
grille and 18" alloys, body-colored dual top, Mopar slush mats, bronze
& orange Jeep badging and of course a 75th Anniversary badge. Inside,
you'll find "1941" embossed black or brown leather heated seats with
tangerine fabric inserts, bronze accents for the air vents and grab handles, a
deep tinted sunscreen plus a sat-nav and an Alpine premium sound system.
Available in either Bright White, Solid
Black or Sarge Green colors, only 85 units of this special edition Wrangler are
destined to reach UK shores. Prices will start at £ 34,765 for the 2-door 2.8
CRD auto version, with the flagship 4-door 3.6 V6 auto model setting you back
£ 36,435.
