Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe facelift
(Rendering)
The Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupe was unveiled
at the 2014 New York International Auto Show and went on sale in September
2014. The Mercedes S-Class saloon is set to receive a facelift in 2017, Daimler
has confirmed, and thus, in 2018, it will be the time for the Mercedes S-Class
Coupe range to receive a mid-life facelift. A speculative rendering from IAB’s
artist Shoeb Kalania shows how the 2018 Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupe (facelift) may
look like.
The rendered Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupe
features the new radiator grille similar to the Panamericana grille of the
Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG GT R. Also close to the respective elements
of the Mercedes-AMG GT R, are the new radiator grille and air scoops.
The facelifted S-Class saloon will
likely debut a new version of the Multibeam LED headlights when it arrives next
year, and certainly, it will be introduced in the Mercedes S-Class Coupe as
well with the facelift. The profile will probably remain largely unchanged,
while the rear-end may get a modest update with a restyled bumper and tweaked
taillamp graphics.
The 5.5-litre biturbo V8 petrol engine
will likely continue being the heart of the Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupe. However,
Mercedes could replace this unit favoring the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo from the AMG
GT. An Indian launch could take place soon after the global debut, given that
the coupe is imported through the CBU route.
