Peugeot 2008 (UK)
Peugeot is launching the updated 2008
compact crossover in the UK market which brings up-to-date looks, a wide range
of efficient engines and more onboard tech.
The new Peugeot 2008 is going to be
available in four different trim levels: Access, Active, Allure and the
range-topping GT Line.
UK customers will be able to choose
between three petrol engines (1.2-litre PureTech with 82 PS-110 PS-130 PS) and
three diesel engines (1.6-litre BlueHDi with 75 PS-100 PS-120 PS). CO2 emissions
range from 96 g/km for the 1.6L BlueHDi 120 S&S diesel version and from
102 g/km for the 1.2L PureTech 82 petrol model.
Select models in the range will come
with the company’s Grip Control system as standard, which offers a selection of
driving modes (Normal, Snow, Mud, Sand and ESP Off) in order to optimize the
traction provided by the FWD-only 2008.
Peugeot has updated the looks slightly
with a new blacked-out front grille, tweaked headlights and new scuff plates,
rear spoiler and a revised rear end. Of more importance, the cabin is now
featuring Peugeot’s latest seven-inch infotainment system with MirrorLink,
Apple CarPlay and a reversing camera. Active safety features include Active
City Brake and Park Assist.
Prices begin at £ 13,615 for the
entry-level petrol model and reach all the way up to £ 20,565 for the
range-topper 1.6-litre BlueHDi 120 S&S model.
