The Polaris Sportsman Big
Boss 6×6 is being showcased at the 2016 DefExpo alongside the DOGOR and MRZR 4
tactical vehicles. Defence forces of 100 nations (including India) across 7
continents are using Polaris’ range of combat and tactical vehicles.
The 6-wheeled ATV is
designed to haul sizeable consignments of cargo (like ammunition, water, food,
etc.) over challenging terrains. The vehicle features on-demand 6-wheel drive
to ensure that it stops at nothing.
Power comes from a 760 cc
4-stroke liquid-cooled big-bore engine which is mated to an automatic
transmission for ease of operation. It has a payload capacity of close to 500
kg.
