Tata Ace Mint


The Tata Ace Mint is being showcased at ongoing 2016 Bangkok Motor Show. As of now, the Super Ace Giant is being sold in Thailand and the Mint is essentially a slightly more upmarket variant with body colored bumpers and mirrors in addition to body decals. The LCV is marketed in Thailand as the first and only sub-1 tonne diesel commercial truck in its class.

Catering to the intracity goods transportation segment, the Super Ace Mint is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox to produce 70 PS at 4,000 rpm and 135 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. In India, the Mint has a fuel efficiency rating of 17.9 km/l.


The Super Ace Mint for the Thai market is available with standard AC, power steering and power window for the passenger cabin. The load bay which has a payload capacity of 1 tonne measures 2630 x 1460 x 300 mm (LxWxH). The bay can be opened from three sides, allowing for easy loading and unloading. Fuel tank capacity stands at 38 litres. The goods carrier has a claimed top speed of 125 km/h and has a gradability of 38%.

The Indian LCV is suspended by front double wishbone torsion bar with stabilizer and rear parabolic leaf spring with shock absorber. Retardation is provided by front discs and rear drum brakes with load sensing pressure valve. The 14-inch steel wheels come wrapped with 165 R14 tyres.
