All-New Aston Martin DB11
It’s a fact that Aston’s all-new DB11
not only marks the beginning of a new era, it’s also perhaps the most important
model in the brand’s long history.
Aston Martin’s Second Century plan
begins now, with the company armed with a brand new aluminum platform, more
powerful yet more fuel efficient turbocharged engines and the cutting edge
electrical architecture courtesy of the recent deal made with Daimler.
In terms of market positioning, the new
DB11 replaces the DB9 as the brand’s big 2+2 GT car. Power comes from an
in-house developed and also new twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 engine, producing now
less than 600 hp and 700 Nm of torque sent to the rear via an
eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. 0-100 km/h comes in 3.9 seconds while top speed
is set at 320 km/h.
The interior is a massive improvement
over the previous generations, featuring a pair of modern TFT displays, a
12-inch for the instrument cluster and an 8-inch for the infotainment system
controlled by a touchpad on the center console. As you would expect from an
Aston Martin, every material used inside is of the highest quality with the
company offering to its customers a real depth of customising options to tailor
their cars to their tastes.
