Aston Martin Vanquish S (Spyshot)
Aston Martin is going to produce a
faster Vanquish version. The Carscoops spies caught a disguised test mule driving around
Nurburgring, featuring a more aggressive body kit than the current Vanquish.
Aston Martin gave it a slight power bump and a fresh aero
package, resulting in the Vanquish S. The same recipe is expected to be
repeated with the current model, giving fans of the brand one last chance to
get a naturally aspirated Aston V12 before its 2018 DB11-based successor goes
turbocharged.
The updated Vanquish is probably going
to pick the same naming strategy and stick an ‘S’ next to the name. You can get
a good idea of what the car will look like from our photos, as they show a more
prominent front spoiler, bigger side skirts and a meaner rear diffuser that houses
a new quad-pipe exhaust system.
Since the current Vanquish makes 565 hp
from its 6.0-litre V12 engine and Aston has already blessed the limited Zagato
version with a 600 hp version of the same unit, it’s safe to assume that the
company is going to use the stronger version under that beautiful bonnet.
