BMW X6 M by G-Power
With 575 PS and 750 Nm of torque, the standard BMW X6 M is not exactly underpowered, but
G-Power's proposal involves even more horsepower.
Available in three-stages, the tuner's
most humble offering raises the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8's output to 650 PS and 850 Nm of torque through either a software remap or the
Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module. The latter is a plug-and-play solution, while the
former appeals to drivers who require a customized solution.
Stage 2 uses the company's Bi-Tronik 5
V2 or the Bi-Tronik 2 V2 software remap, but before one of these can be
applied, specially-fabricated stainless steel downpipes have to be fitted to
reduce backpressure in the OEM exhaust. Once the software is calibrated, the
total output jumps to 700 PS and 905 Nm of torque.
With Stage 3, the SAV's stock engine is
massaged to deliver a total of 750 PS and 980 Nm of
torque, with uprated turbochargers, stainless steel downpipes and bespoke
titanium exhaust system, which features four 100 mm diameter tailpipes and two
rear silencers. Besides offering a deeper soundtrack, the exhaust sheds 23 kg from the vehicle's weight, which now needs 11.5 seconds to complete a
quarter mile sprint.
BMW X6 M owners who feel the need for
other aftermarket nuts and bolts can also go for the GX6M-RS coilover
suspension and for the 11x23-inch Hurricane RR forged alloy wheels, wrapped in
325/25 tires.
