A hot modified Datsun Go
Hotwheels edition is in attendance at 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International
Auto Show (GIIAS). Datsun is also showcasing three
other heavily customized versions of the hatchback to create a buzz.
The Go Hotwheels edition shows how easy
it is to transform the budget hatchback into a race car. The project involves
extensive exterior and interior modification.
The car gets aerodynamic body kit all
around, an attractive blue-green-white livery, new front bumper with three
secondary air intakes, projector headlamp elements with hexagonal enclosures,
carbon fibre accented hood and wing mirrors, rear spoiler, golden alloy wheels
and a chrome exhaust tip.
The upgraded braking system employs
discs for all the four wheels. Suspension system is also likely to have been
upgraded. Interior wise, the Datsun Go Hotwheels edition is equipped with Sparco
racing bucket seats, three-spoke race-spec steering wheel, and a new gear knob.
Datsun hasn’t revealed the performance
specs of the Hotwheels edition and this means it is merely a show piece to
attract young audience. The stock car is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder
petrol engine derived from the Nissan March. On board the Go,
the motor is tuned to produce a modest 68 PS in the interest of fuel economy.
The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
