Fiat X6H and X6S
The X6H Projects and Fiat X6S will have new
generation type. The changes are starting from the Europe plattform they are built on the Small US Wide basis, used in Brazil by
the Jeep Renegade, Fiat Toro and the future Jeep 551. In Brazil both models
will be manufactured from 326 platform used by Palio and Siena Grand.
The hatch and the sedan will have lower
measures to European like. It is estimated that the hatch 10 cm lower and 20 cm for the sedan. But even not using the Small US Wide
platform, the X6H and X6S projects will be constructed with the steel of the
Jeep Renegade and Fiat Toro as anticipated in June.
Other changes is the
visual. The models will change in relation to European
models. Not even the interior will be the same. With so many changes, there is
no confirmation if the type name will be kept.
The hatch X6H will be manufactured in
Brazil and the sedan X6S in Argentina. The two will reach the market only in
2017, and the hatch will debut in the first half and the sedan in the second quarter of year.
The X6H and X6S will be
equipped with new GSE 1.3 engine that will power up from 100 hp and torque
around the 14 kg.m. The option of smaller displacement will stick on five-speed automatic and five-speed manual also. The line of tops of both
models will use the new 1.8 E.torQ EVO used by Toro truck. The exchange will be
the five-speed manual and six-speed automatic used by Jeep Renegade. In the
future, the hatch will also feature a sports version that will be equipped with
the GSE Turbo 1.3 16v engine that should have power over 150 cv.
Both the hatchback and the sedan will
feature Start & Stop technology, electric power steering, plus the traction
and stability controls.
