Mahindra Racing M3Electro Formula E Season 3

Mahindra Racing has unveiled its Formula E championship contender for the third season, the M3Electro with a livery which was chosen from designs submitted by fans. The Indian outfit also announced a new driver lineup for the third season of the electric single seater series.

While Nick Heidfeld who gave Mahindra its first podium finish previous season has been retained, Bruno Senna has been replaced by rising Swedish star Felix Rosenqvist. The 24-year old is the 2015 Formula 3 European Champion. He also finished second overall in 24 hours of Spa.

Both drivers have clocked a combined mileage of over 2,200 km on the M3Electro during 15 days of private tests in July across multiple tracks in Spain. The car will make its race debut during the first round of FIA Formula E Season 3 which is scheduled to commence in Hong Kong this October.

The new livery has been selected as a winning entry by Mahindra Racing and Pininfarina from 14 finalists of the #DrivenByDesign fan contest. During the unveiling event at Donington Park, UK, the outfit also announced Italy-based Errea Sport as official apparel and merchandise partner.

Mahindra Racing registered two podium finishes and 7 double point finishes last season and is aiming to achieve better performance this season.
