New Besturn B50

Besturn B50 has been launched on the Chinese car market, and is has become a rather good looking automobile with sharply cut lights and speedy creases on the sides. Price starts at 81.800 yuan and ends at 117.800 yuan.

The Besturn B50 comes in two kinds, the base version like this red car, and RS sport version. The RS has a black grille with a red line, a black roof, a spoiler on the boot lid, a bunch of RS badges, and a slightly dressed up interior.

There are two engines, a 1.6-liter with 109 Hp and 155 Nm, and a 1.4-liter turbo with 136 Hp and 220 Nm, both mated to a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, sending power to the front wheels. The RS is only available with the 1.4-liter turbo. Dimension size is 4695/1795/1460 mm, and wheelbase is 2725 mm.

The interior, seen here in top trim level. Nice seats. Touch screen on the small side. The RS with a wood strip, an RS badge on the wheel, perforated pedals, and red stitching on the seats. Otherwise, no differences.

The infotainment system. Showing the radio, as always. Because that is the only thing where 99.99% of Chinese drivers uses the infotainment system for. All the rest goes per mobile phone. Auto makers in China might as well delete the entire infotainment and install a radio. Or they might finally design a system that fully and seamlessly integrates the phone with the infotainment.
