Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR by Manthey-Racing

Porsche's GT department delved into new territory when it launched the Cayman GT4 last year, applying the same formula as it does to the 911 GT3 but to a smaller package. It then adapted the pocket rocket for the track with the Cayman GT4 Clubsport. And now it has upgraded it to racing spec and helping it live up to its name.

Developed together with Manthey-Racing, the new Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR has been built to comply with the GT4 regulations set down by SRO, the group that organizes the Blancpain Endurance Series, British GT Championship and GT4 European Series (among others).

To get it up to spec, Manthey-Racing has fitted the Cayman with doors and hood made of carbon fiber, plexi windshield and lightweight battery, helping it trim a substantial 88 pounds off the curb weight. The Clubsport MR also features an adjustable suspension (complete with adjustable sway bar and linear bearings) and a larger rear wing.

The result looks poised to perform well on track against the growing field of challengers in an accessible yet highly competitive racing discipline.
