SEV eTricks Evolution C01
In a market where
shareholders holding companies and make rain or shine, the French SEV and its
range of electric mopeds eTRICKS stand out as aliens. Despite a recent stake in
its capital, alésienne company has preserved its original approach that
emphasizes the pleasure of users and the quality (through made in France in
particular) against any other aspect.
Remember, eTRICKS is a
small electric motorbike that combines a customized aircraft aluminum frame
(with central housing for the battery) to pieces of high-end mountain bikes.
Lightweight (38 kg) and handy, it is customizable with a multitude of options.
Depending on your configuration, it can be used in off-road as part of leisure
or more traditional urban environment.
On the Milan salon where we
cross, the company just presented the "Evolution C01" version of its
eTRICKS designed specifically for the city. Derived from the more sporty R01,
it is distinguished by its cycle-part facing comfort: high performance tires
Schwalbe Big Ben 24 x 2.15, wraparound fenders, hydraulic suspension, handlebar
aluminum double right diameter, Brooks saddle leather old.
But the key advantage of
this new eTRICKS Evolution C01 is its electric powertrain designed around a
2500 watt brushless motor and a lithium-ion battery Sony 48V / 18Ah. Associated
with the belt drive, it provides a record and almost instantaneous torque of
100 Nm, enough to ensure a great ease to face the urban jungle everyday. And
this in a very appreciable silence.
And a usage cost reduced
because maintenance is equivalent to that of a bicycle so that consumption
side, the 100 km back to € 0.60. An advantage to be considered as part of a
possible purchase, which however is not given. He will indeed reckon € 4,390
for this SEV, which is only available in colors: metallic gray and
black. This is a great alternative to electric scooter.
