2017 Citroen C3 Picasso (spyshot)
After the official reveal of the Citroen
C3, it’s only a matter of time before the French company lifts the veil off its
taller brother, the C3 Picasso.
The Carscoops spies caught another
prototype during its late development stage and this time here's more of the actual production model.
The Citroen’s characteristic design language with its multiple
lighting elements cannot be hidden. As expected, the new baby Picasso will
mimic the new C3’s styling at the front but the real reveal is the rear end
which can be seen for the first time with its production lighting units.
Unlike its German sister car, the
upcoming Opel Meriva which uses the same platform, the new C3 Picasso will not
use horizontal taillights but a pair of square-ish elements, matching again the
new C3’s design.
Both the new C3 Picasso and the new Opel
Meriva are ditching the compact MPV bodystyle in favor of a more
market-friendly crossover one. Their relation though is expected not to be
transferred under the bonnet as PSA and Opel are keen to use their own
powertrains.
The big reveal is expected to take place
at the Paris Motor Show, so stay tuned.
