2017 Holden Astra

Holden Australia launch the re-badged Opel Astra from December 2016. Priced from AU$ 25,312 which equals to US$ 19,380 (today's exchange rates). This hatch features a few styling updates over the Opel/Vauxhall models, including the addition of the brand's own logos, and it's underpinned by a new architecture that allows it to drop up to 130 kg of weight over its predecessor.

The features that equip the new Holden Astra depending on the selected version, include the IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights, and the Holden Eye front camera that can automatically adapt length and distribution of the light beam depending on the traffic situations. The rearview camera is standard and it's joined by the front camera, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Side Blind Spot Alert, and Lane Keep Assist.

The 2017 Astra boasts a heated steering wheel and heated front seats, leather wrapped, along with the brand's MyLink infotainment system that works together with a color touchscreen display and provides Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Lesser versions are powered by a new 1.4-liter EcoTec direct-injected turbocharged engine, rated at 149 PS and 240 Nm of torque, which burns 5.8 lt/100 km, while customers looking for something sportier can go for the 1.6-liter EcoTec direct-injected turbo, with its 200 PS and 300 Nm of torque.
