2017 Suzuki S-Cross (UK)
This S-Cross crossover will hit UK shores on the 17th of October,
when it will be available with either 1.0-liter or 1.4-liter Boosterjet petrol
engines, or a 1.6-liter DDiS engine with class leading emissions and low fuel
consumption.
The S-Cross' ground clearance
grew from 165 mm to 180 mm, with the previously mentioned CO2 & MPG figures
sitting at 106 g/km and 68.8 mpg (4.1 l/100 km)- for the 1.6-liter
diesel.
Buying into the range means going for the £ 14,999
SZ4 version which comes with the three cylinder 1.0-liter unit and a manual
transmission. The SZ4 as well as the higher-spec SZ-t and SZ5 grades are
equipped with seven airbags and ESP as standard.
The entry-level SZ4 models also feature Bluetooth,
DAB digital radio, air conditioning, Daytime Running Lights, 16" alloys, cruise
control with speed limited, heated door mirrors, black protective skid plates
and black wheel arch extensions. The SZ-T adds LED projector headlamps,
sat-nav, 17" alloys, rear parking camera, front & rear parking
sensors, dual zone climate control, front fog lamps, rear privacy glass, silver
roof rails and silver skid plates.
Those leaning towards the flagship SZ5 version will
enjoy features such as Radar Brake Support, leather seat upholstery, heated
front seats, a double sliding panoramic sunroof and aluminum roof rails.
Suzuki's renowned four wheel drive tech, or ALLGRIP, is however only available
on SZ-T and SZ5 models.
In terms of performance, we're looking power and
torque ratings of 140 PS and 220 Nm for the 1.4-liter Boosterjet unit,
111 PS and 170 Nm for the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder unit and 120 PS and
320 Nm for the 1.6-liter diesel.
Suzuki is also expected to bring the facelifted
S-Cross to this year's Paris Auto Show.
