Audi Q2 (China)


The Audi Q2 was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and now, the company is showcasing the crossover in China ahead of its expected launch in the country later this year. 

The China-spec Audi Q2 measures 4,191 mm in length, 1,794 mm in width and 1,508 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,601 mm. The 2.0-litre TDI engine’s details haven’t been released yet, but the 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine produces 147.45 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via the 7-speed S tronic transmission.


In Germany, the Audi Q2 is available with six engines having displacements ranging from 1.0- to 2.0-litre. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic. The quattro all-wheel drive is available in certain models only. Head-up display, Audi virtual cockpit fully-digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster, MMI navigation plus infotainment system with MMI touch, 750-watt, 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system are some of the key features of the Audi Q2.

The Audi Q2 is manufactured at the company’s main plant in Ingolstadt in Germany, where production commenced in July. A long-wheelbase version for China has been in the rumor mill and it’s reportedly being considered for India too.
